Personal Space

We all have that someone, whether it is a co-worker, an acquaintance, or a family member who just gets in our business all the time. I spent the afternoon watching a herd of wild ponies grazing at the entrance of Assateague Island National Seashore and found myself feeling like the pony on the left as people got out of their cars and stood behind me while I worked. My face was hidden from view behind the groups that assembled around me. The outline of my body, akin to hers, was lost to the shadows of strangers who, at the moment, were a bit close.
