Morning Fog Over Watoga Lake

Description

I threw clothes into bags and left. Storms were in the back of my mind as I drove to Virginia for a spontaneous weekend trip and some much needed time in the mountains. Facing torrential rain, I impulsively drove somewhere with more promising weather and ended up in Watoga State Park with barely any cell service and a spirit about as empty as my camera. I was rewarded with this unearthly view of Watoga Lake on a warm morning just before sunrise and the arrival of a few fishermen.
